The chain of switching devices is constructed in such away that it can be produced directly from a single starting strip, without it beingnecessary to mount initially obtained separate switching units on a carrier strip. This ispossible owing to the following features of the chain of switching elements: - the plastichousings (4') are joined to one another mechanically at mutually opposite sides bymetallic conductors (5) forming a chain; - the same metallic conductors (5) also connectthe switching units to one another electrically; - located on one side of the plastichousing is a metallic carrier strip (5), which reaches uninterrupted over the entire chainand from which electrical crimp connections (12) respectively lead to a terminal of eachreed switch; - located on the opposite sides of the plastic housings (4') are metallicswitching bridges (11) which connect the second terminal of each reed switch to aterminal of the resistor belonging to the same switching unit and connect both to theother terminal of the following resistor in the chain.
