Read the following passage and complete the story in about

120 words.

A young man lived at a small countryside village with his

elderly mother. One day, their only horse ran away. The

neighbors came to comfort him, saying how unfortunate it was,

but the young man calmly replied, “Who knows, maybe it’s a

blessing in disguise.”

A few days later, their horse returned, bringing along a wild

mare. The neighbors came to congratulate him on his great

fortune, but the young man simply replied, “Who knows,

maybe it’s a curse in disguise.”

A few weeks later, while he was trying to break the mare, he

fell and broke his leg. The neighbors came to comfort him, but

the young man simply replied, “Who knows, maybe it’s a

blessing in disguise.”

Just then, nearby soldiers were on a recruitment campaign,

which he could not participate in due to his injury. The

neighbors came to congratulate him, saying how fortunate he

was, but the young man simply replied, “Who knows, maybe

it’s a curse in disguise.”

It’s all about attitude. Sometimes we don’t know what’s

good or bad for us. And what seems like a loss or a blessing at

the time can actually turn out to be the opposite.

Years went by, and the young man and his mother

continued to live in their small village. One day, a great storm

hit the village and many of the homes were destroyed,

including theirs. The neighbors were devastated, but the

young man simply replied, “Who knows, maybe it’s a blessing

in disguise.”

The storm had brought many outsiders to the village,

offering assistance to rebuild homes and help the villagers

recover. Among them was a young woman who the young man

had caught the eye of. They fell in love and were married. The

villagers were thrilled, congratulating the young couple on

their great fortune, but the young man simply replied, “Who

knows, maybe it’s a curse in disguise.”

Years went by and they had a family of their own, living

happily in their rebuilt home. The young man’s perspective had
