论失败
武汉三中 陈君仪 2014.5
As is acknowledged, failures are everywhere to be seen, but virtually (=in fact ), how we deal
with them plays quite a prominent (突出的) role in our roads to success.
I used to be a proud girl who was good at maths, however, there was a tough time when I did
poorly in exams as a consequence of my carelessness. From the very beginning, I owed this failure
to the noisy environment and my math teacher, which only led to worse performance. Then, it was
the first time that I had discovered my fatal drawbacks, and by changing the bad habits, I’ve made
significant progress.
From my perspective, failures are not obstacles but beacons, which throw light on our life to
propel (推进)ourselves. But too many times we’re too afraid to accept them and just blame
someone else, which proves to be real failures. Actually, what we should do is to face the failures
bravely so that it’s prudent (谨慎地) of us to grasp the opportunities to foster (拥抱)our lives.
My friends, always bear in mind that never blame others for your own mistake when you
could have done better.

Inclined(趋向) as we are to impose(= put ) a blame on others when faced with setbacks, it’s
crucial (=important) for us to get over this nature and courageously undertake the responsibility,
thus we can compose (组成)ourselves to reflect on our past and lay the foundation for future
success.
My childhood experience serves as a perfect case. Every time I found myself becoming a loser,
I never abandoned myself to endless blames and regrets. Instead I would analysis my mistakes and
mapped out plans to improve. Having polished myself step by step, it didn’t take me by surprise
when all the efforts paid off and I took my study completely in my stride.(进步)
It’s no use crying over spilt milk. By the same token(原因), attributing our own failures to
others won’t get us anywhere. What really matters is whether we have learned from these
unpleasant experience.
It’s beyond disputes that our possibility to distinguish ourselves is in proportion(= part ) to
how positive our attitudes are when failures emerge. So just see our failures as a bridge to further
accomplishments and we’ll ultimately embrace a bright future.
