英语重点词汇语法详解proceed

to do

proceed to do sth

接下来做；接着做；继续进行；继续做。

proceed to do……与go on to do……两种表达方式有相同的意思，

都指“继续做某事”：

He outlined his plans and then proceeded to explain them in

more detail.

他简单介绍了他的计划，接着又进行了较详细的解释。

Having said she wasn't hungry, she then proceeded to order a

three-course meal.
