高考英语口语：副词indeed在口语中的用法

1. 用于简短答语中，表示同意(多用来强调或确认前面或对方说过的话)，意为：的确；

确实。如：

A：It’s cold. 天很冷。

B：It is indeed. 的确很冷。

A：Did you hear the explosion? 你听到爆炸声了吗?

B：Indeed I did. 确实听到了。

A：Are you pleased at your son’s success? 你儿子获得成功，你高兴吗?

B：Yes, indeed. (or：Indeed, yes). 当然高兴啦。

I shall be very glad indeed. 那我真太高兴了。

We enjoyed it very much indeed. 我们的确很喜欢它。

3. 表示更进一层的意思，意为：甚至；实际上。如：

I didn’t mind. Indeed, I was pleased. 我不介意，甚至我还高兴呢!

I saw her recently, indeed yesterday. 我最近见到过她，实际上就是昨天。

4. 表示感兴趣、吃惊、讽刺、轻蔑等，具体意思视上下文而定如：

A：I earn $1,000 a day. 我每天挣1000美元。

B：Indeed! 真的吗!

A：I can finish the job in five minutes. 这工作我五分钟就可完成。

A：Why would he say such a strange thing? 他为什么要说那样奇怪的事呢?

B：Why indeed? 我也弄不清这究竟是为什么呀?

A：He expects to win. 他希望赢呢!

B：Does he, indeed! 哦，他还想赢!

A：Who is this woman? 这个女人是谁?

B：Who is she, indeed! 她是谁，那还用问吗? (或：是啊，她到底是谁呀?)
