教学目标
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to :
the basic information about three traditional Chinese art forms, like sky lanterns, paper cutting
and clay art;
2. get to know the outline of the passage and summarize the frame structure of it;
te a poster for a school club and make an introduction of a Chinese art form.

教学过程
Step 1. Warming up & Pre- reading
the learning aims on the screen.
a short video about the Handcraft the teacher shows some beautiful objects of the club to
the class (lantern, clay flower, paper-cutting) and have a free talk with them:
What’s it made of?
Who are they made by?
the students that there are three projects in the club: bamboo, paper and clay, and ask them:
Suppose you are the leader of the Handcraft Club, how can you attract more students to join the
club?
ts try to think about what to talk about when introducing traditional Chinese arts.

词中捕捉到本课的一些相关语言信息,从而为课堂营造一个轻松愉快的氛围。教师从社团招
新说明会导入,引起学生兴趣,让学生乐于在阅读材料中了解中国传统手工艺术作品的信息,
找到自己喜欢的社团项目。通过问题设置“在介绍中国传统艺术品的时候,需要谈论哪些要
素”,引发学生的思考。此任务重在引导学生在自然而真实的情境中进入本课阅读任务。
Step 2. While-reading
ts read the article quickly, and they are supposed to have an overall grasp of the article and
find out the frame structure of it.

2. Read the article carefully paragraph by paragraph, and then answer some detail questions of each
art form.

【设计思路】通过精读文章,完成重点段落的思维导图;掌握阅读技巧,从总体把握文章框
架,到获取具体信息,完成设置的各种阅读任务,深层次地了解中国传统手工艺术作品的魅
力。从而使学生能顺利地运用有效信息复述课文。
Step 3. Summary
Students summarize the six elements when introducing traditional Chinese arts: materials, history,
function, how to make them, occasions, symbols.
【设计思路】回应读前活动设置的问题,总结出在介绍中国传统艺术品时需要谈论的,为学
生完成课后作业做好铺垫。
Step 4. Post-reading
1. The students complete the club poster with the six elements and introduce his or her favorite art
form.
students have a brainstorm. They are supposed to give a key word from common things to
beauty. The key word given by the teacher is “creativity”. Anyone can be a “Maker” if one has
“craftsman spirit”. And everyone should have the Chinese dream: “Made in China” will be a
leading brand in the world!
【设计思路】学生在完成阅读任务的基础上,对社团的主要项目充分了解,选择一个项目完
善手工社团海报并向全班同学展示说明。通过本节课的阅读,学生领略到了中国传统手工艺
术作品之美。教师鼓励学生善于通过慧眼和巧手从普通事物中创造美,从而激发创新意识、
发扬工匠精神,努力做新时代的小创客, 让“Made in China”成为世界的响亮品牌。
Step 6. Homework
Writing:Fan painting is another kind of Chinese traditional art in the the six elements to
write a short passage about it.
Directions: 1. Try to use Passive Voice to make sentences.
from general to specific.
3. At least 100 words.
【设计思路】运用本节课阅读所学到的知识和方法,写一篇介绍社团另一个传统手工艺品“扇
画”的小短文,达到以读促写、拓展新知的目的。
