The spring festival

The spring festival is one of the most popular Chinese traditional festivals.

Chinese people have been celebrating this festival for centuries.

Before this festival, people always do some preparations ,such as,cleaning the

house , preparing delicious food,putting up couplets, buying new clothes for

families and so on. On the New Year's Eve, all family members always sit together

to have a reunion dinner, just like Christmas in the the eve,eating

dumplings and watching the Spring Festival Gala on TV have become the

traditions. The next morning，people always visit their relatives, wearing the new

clothes. As for the children,the most exciting thing is to get lucky money from their

parents and relatives.I like the festival best ,because we can set off fireworks.

The spring festival is the a great time to say goodbye to the last year and

welcome the new year which is full of good luck. We can have a 15-day holiday.

The Lantern Festival

The Lantern Festival a traditional Chinese festival which falls on the 15th of

the lunar January. The festival marks the end of the celebrations of the Chinese

New Year.

This is a festival for people having fun. Nearly every village and city has an

exhibit of lanterns. Lots of lanterns in different shapes and colors will be hung up .

On the night of the festival, people will set off fireworks and go on streets with

families or friends, watching lions dance and admiring the lanterns. It is the most

popular activity to guess the answers of riddles written on lanterns . ‘Yuanxiao’ is

traditional food which is sweet and round in shape. Eating ‘Yuanxiao’ on Lantern

Festival is the symbol of the family unity and happiness.

Everything of the festival is very interesting and everyone is very

happy. Our life is rich and varied（多姿多彩）.

Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festival of China. It used to be as

important as Spring Festival .It is usually celebrated in September or October.

This festival is to celebrate the harvest and to enjoy the beautiful moon light.

For this festival,all families members will go back home to have a dinner together.

After that, people always eat fruits and delicious mooncakes ,admiring the moon.

The moon is always very round on that day, and makes people think of their

relatives and friends. It’s such an important festival that many poems were

written about it. Stories and legends（传说）about the festival are widely spread.

The festival is considered to be a symbol of family is
