The contact surface 111 is fixed to a first tissue portion 103 surrounding thedamaged tissue 102, the device allowing a vacuum to be applied to the damaged tissue102. A layer 120 of flowable sealing material 122, which covers a second tissue portion106 adjacent to the first peripheral portion, is configured for filling gaps between thecontact surface 111 and said first tissue portion 103 preventing the formation of leakswhen the vacuum is applied to the device 100. A second tissue cover 130 is applied tocover at least the layer of sealing material 122.
