I am using a copy of the Wails + Svelte hello world app and I am using it to do a Svelte tutorial.
(Tutorial Link) /tutorial/svelte/nested-components
Up until I reached this particular tutorial topic, everything was fine when I ran "wails dev" or "wails build" from inside the project folder.
Then I tried to make a component in the same directory as my App.svelte file and then it a seemingly unrelated error occurred.
I made a Nested.svelte component as in the tutorial.
The two mentioned .svelte files are in this directory:
...\1-hello_world\frontend\src
I received this message in the terminal after entering "wails dev".
...\1-hello_world\wails.json: The system cannot find the file specified.
However, my wails.json file is here ...\1-hello_world\frontend\wails.json
Is there any way to tell wails where to look for the JSON file?
Did my creation of the component cause a bug, or is the subsequent fail of wails dev a coincidence?
I am working on a Windows laptop.
UPDATE
I get a different message in the terminal depending on where I call "wails dev". If I call it from inside the /frontend folder, I get this message in the terminal:
Executing: go mod tidy
• Generating bindings:
ERROR
no Go files in ...\1-hello_world\frontend
exit status 1
If I call "wails dev" from the ...\1-hello_world folder, I get the following:
...\1-hello_world\wails.json: The system cannot find the file specified.
These are the contents of the App.svelte file:
<script lang="ts">
import Nested from "./Nested.svelte";
let src = "./src/assets/images/bobby.png";
const title = "Mr.";
const height = "small";
</script>
<h3>Title of App - Hello Again {title.toUpperCase()} World</h3>
<p>Paragraph styling is scoped.</p>
<Nested />
<style>
p {
color: goldenrod;
font-family: "Comic Sans MS", cursive;
font-size: 2em;
}
</style>
These are the contents of the Nested.svelte file.
<script lang="ts">
</script>
<p>This is the nested paragraph.</p>
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
