I have a nextjs react application. I try to deploy it on a VPS amd64 linux. I get this error when running it on my VPS:
[Error: EACCES: permission denied, scandir '/app/public/Fruitopia_illustrations'] { errno: -13, code: 'EACCES', syscall: 'scandir', path: '/app/public/Fruitopia_illustrations' }
I know it has something to do with the permissions, so I added this line:
COPY --chown=nextjs:nodejs --from=builder /app/public ./public
But it still does not work, I get the same error message.
My folder structure looks like this:
And my dockerfile:
# syntax=docker.io/docker/dockerfile:1
FROM node:18-alpine AS base
# Install dependencies only when needed
FROM base AS deps
# Check to understand why libc6-compat might be needed.

Reset to default 0You could try and remove /public
COPY --chown=nextjs:nodejs --from=builder /app ./public
