Resist

vt.

1. 抵抗,反抗;抗拒

语气 reject 语气比 refuse 强，表示断然拒绝。如果不同意一种意见或信仰，要用 reject。decline 比较正式，表示礼貌、客气地“婉拒”。当表示对于对方的邀请、请求、提议等表示“不接受”时，可以用 decline 来缓和语气。turn

down 用在非正式场合，尤其是在美国英语中，可与 reject 替换。
