Leopards are large, wild cats that live in Africa and Asia. They are known

for their golden coats and graceful, powerful movements. As ambush

predators, leopards rely on stealth and camouflage to hunt prey like deer,

monkeys and rodents. Using sharp claws and teeth, leopards drag their

kills into trees to avoid other predators. During the day, they rest and

conceal themselves in caves, bushes and treetops. Leopards are

incredibly agile, jumping up to 6 meters high and sprinting up to 60

km/h.

However, deforestation, poaching and loss of habitat have put these

majestic cats at the risk of extinction. It is important to protect leopards

so we can forever admire their beauty and preserve nature’s balance.

They remind us how fragile the amazing biodiversity on our planet is.
