occasion定语从句

occasion定语从句可以用where，也可以用when。

1. 分析单词：

occasion， /əˈkeɪʒ(ə)n/ ；

n. （某事发生）时刻，时候；正式时机，适当机会；特殊（或重大）场合，特殊（或重大）事件；正式理由，原因；

v. 正式 引起，惹起。

2. 常见短语：

on occasion， 间或；有时；不时地；必要时；

the grand occasion ，盛世乱世；

on the occasion， 在这种时候届时；

on the occasion of ，其时；请允许我借……的机会；

daily occasion，日常场合；日常场所；

give occasion to， 引起；使发生；惹起；

special occasion ，特殊场合；独一无二特殊场所；特别的场合；

on that occasion ，在那个场合下；在那次；

3. 分情况讨论：

1.）当occasion表示“时刻，时候；正式时机，适当的机会”，在定语从句里面作时间状语的时候，关系副词选择when。

例句：

Wedding is an occasion when bride is the most

beautiful.

婚礼是新娘打扮得最漂亮的时候。

Describe an occasion when someone visited your

home.

描述一个某人访问你家的情景。

In China, we should consider the specific

situation and occasion when we present gifts.

在中国，赠送礼物应考虑具体情况和场合。

2.）当occasion表示“特殊（或重大）场合，”，在定语从句里面作时间状语的时候，关系副词选择where。

例句：
