Hangzhou Normal University (HNU) is a key university in

Zhejiang Province, which currently has more than 23,000 full-

time students, among which are some 800 international

students. It was founded in 1909 as Hangzhou Advanced Normal

School, and was one of the earliest universities in the

country to offer English language education.

The English Department at HNU is the founding department of

the college and the head department of the English Education
