摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain a low-noise and high-reliable ink jet recording head by a

method wherein a substrate with piezoelectric elements arranged on a pressure chamber

in a flow path is provided with a vibration absorber made of a metal having a specific

gravity larger than a plastic, and the vibration absorber is brought into pressure contact

with the substrate so as not to coincide with the piezoelectric elements.

CONSTITUTION:Holders 14a and 14b, which serve as vibration absorbers and position a

substrate 1, are made of a metal. The noise in driving a head has been conventionally

transmitted from piezoelectric elements 3 as a source to the substrate 1 through

metallic plates 2a, 2b together with vibration. However, the noise transmitted to the

substrate 1 and the metallic plates 2a, 2b is transmitted to the holder 14a by mounting

two pins 42 on the holder 14a. The holders 14a, 14b use such a metallic material as zinc

having a large specific gravity in comparison with a plastic used for a case and others. In

this manner, the head has a large acoustical resistance even if being small in size, thus

damping and absorbing the vibration in the holders 14a, 14b to prevent the noise from

being transmitted outside.
