If the metaverse (元宇宙) is a developing world, then Siji is a builder and developer of it. He
has built a museum in this virtual world – a museum about Chinese memes (梗).
The Chinese Memes Museum is on a VR platform called VRChat, which is free 1________

Some memes 2________________(present) as pictures and text descriptions, while around 100

Born in 1993, Siji 3___________(grow) up during the booming of the internet and is right at

videos (鬼畜视频) of Jinkela fertilizer became a hit meme. 6____________it comes to the recent
10 years, memes have more different sources including animation, comics and games.
Each of the other three exhibition halls has a theme. In the “ACG” hall, there are cutouts (剪

Rainbows are often seen 1 ______signs of hope. And we are likely to see more of them due
to global warming, according to a new study 2 _____________(publish) in the journal Global
Environmental Change.
The research team gathered 121,558 rainbow pictures from the internet3 _________(take)
between 2004 and 2019. They then used the 4 ___________(photo) to form a database which
allowed the researchers 5 ____________(learn) the patterns of how rainbows occur.
Rainbows only appear with a 6 ___________(suit) angle of the sun, rainfall and less clouds.
Due to the emission of greenhouse gases, there will be more rainfall and less clouds, 7
__________can lead to more rainbows in the future.
The team also predicted that global rainbow 8 _______________(occur)might increase by 4
to 5 percent by 2100. However, some places in the world may witness fewer rainbows. For
example, the climate in tropical areas in Africa and South America may be 9 ___________(dry)

in intangible (无形的) parts of our environment – such as sound and light – are part of these
changes and deserve more attention from researchers,” the lead author of the study Kimberly
