My Best Friend's Birthday Bash

Birthdays are the best! Especially when they belong to your

very best friend in the whole wide world. My BFF Chloe was

turning 14 last Saturday, and she was having a huge birthday

party. I was so excited!

A couple weeks before, Chloe handed out invitations to all of

our friends during lunch period. The invitation was pretty and

sparkly, just like Chloe. It said her party was going to be at a

trampoline park called JumpCity. I'd never been to a trampoline

park before, but it sounded awesome. The invitation said to wear

grip socks and comfortable clothes for jumping. I couldn't wait!

On the day of the party, my mom dropped me off at Jump

City right after lunch. There were balloons and a big "Happy

Birthday Chloe!" sign out front. I checked in at the front desk and

they stamped my hand with a rubber stamp. Then I went through

theegate into the massive jumping area.

It was even bigger than I imagined! There were tons of huge

trampolines covering the ground, with trampolines along the

walls too. There were angled trampolines you could jump up,

along with launch pads to jump extra high into a pit filled with

thousands of foam cubes. So cool!

I spotted Chloe bouncing around in her favorite rainbow

leopard print leggings. "Chloe! Over here!" I called and waved.

She spotted me and came bounding over, her ponytail bouncing

behind her.

"Sarah! You made it!" She pulled me into a big hug. "I'm so

glad you're here. This is going to be the best party ever!"

More of our friends started arriving, like Jessica, Maya, Emma

and Ava. We all hugged Chloe and gave her our gifts. I got her a

stuffed llama - she loves llamas!

Once everyone was there, they played Chloe's favorite song

("About Damn Time" by Lizzo) over the speakers and we all

jumped and danced around for a while. The trampolines made

me bounce super high, but the foam pit was soft for landing. I

twisted and flipped and did silly jumping dances.

After about an hour of jumping, we took a break for cake

and food. They had set up a birthday zone with twinkle lights,
