on当连词的用法
表示一个正在进行的动作，后接由动词转化来的名词。
例如:onavisit在参观访问
on the flow在涨潮
on the turn在转折点
on the watch警戒
on strike在罢工
例句:王先生去纽约出差。
Mr Wang went to New York on business
她去悉尼进行两周旅行。
She was away to Sydney on a two-week trip.
他来口木访问。
He had come on a visit to Japan.
on表示“..........接名词、代词或动名词，相当
于as soon as
例句:我们一到他就接见了我们。
Hc mel us on our arival.
一接到她来信我就给你写信。
I'll write to you on hearing from her.
他从英国一回来，就认真地投入工作。
On his return from England he sel to work seriously.

+名词、动词的ing形式

一进入屋子她就发现那个男的躺在地.上死了。
He wenl direetly to the hotcl on reaching the lown.
--到那个镇他就直接去了旅馆。
You feel empty and sick at the thought of not being together.
只要想到不能在一起，你就会感到空虚、难受。
+名词(minute,moment,instant，second,time)
例如:他一到那个国家，就开始寻找。。(2 on The moment he reached the country,he
started his search.
1 gave him the money the moment I saw him.我一见到他就把钱给他了。
The minute 1 saw him I knew that there was no hope.我一见到他就知道没有希望
了。
He promised to attened it the instant he reached the office.他答应-倒办公室就去
参加川。
The second he spoke we recognize his voice.他一说话我们就听出了他的卢音。
[注意]和引导的从句一样，从句常用一-般时态。
Tell him I need to see him the minute he arrives.
ately/instantly/directly引导的时间状语从句。
I lefn immediatcly the clock struck lwelve.钟一敲十二点我就离开了。
She must have written it immediately she got home.她一定是一到家就写的
[注意]immediately/instanuly/direcly等除了作副词还叮做连词。
soon as和once
“as soon as”是“一......”最普通的表达方法，引导时间状语从句。
The boy couldn*t help crying as soon as he saw his mother..
这个男孩一见到他母亲就禁不住大哭起米。
I will let you know about it as soon as we come to any conclusion.
作为时间状语的连词，常常隐含条件，意为“一-旦.....”，如:
Once he has made up his mind,nothing can change his mind.
