rather的五种用法
1. 有情态动词（Can/Will等）：表示礼貌的请求
例句：Will you please help me with this?
2. 有助动词（Be/Have等）：表示某件事比预期的要小
例句：The necklace was rather expensive.
3. 否定形式：表示否定的强调
例句：I don't think it'll be easy, rather difficult in fact.
4. 实义动词：表示某件事“比较”
例句：The high school was rather large compared to the elementary
school.
5. 加强语气：表示强烈的肯定
例句：I rather enjoy going to the beach in the summertime.
