sure/insure/ensure/assure/reassure用法总结

1、sure adj./adv.

意思是确信的（地）、有把握的（地）

例：I am sure you will love it.

我确定你会喜欢它。

2、insure vt./vi.

意思是投保、买保险

例：My house is insured against fire.

我的房子投保了火险。

3、ensure vt.

意思是 确保

常用结构是后面跟名词、名词短语或者从句，但不能用

ensure sb. that…….. 这种双宾语形式。

例：Registration ensures delivery of mail.

挂号邮件保证会送到。

4、assure vt.

意思是使某人相信

常用结构是assure sb. of sth or of doing sth.

例：He assured us of his ability to solve the

problem.

他向我们保证他有能力解决这个问题。

5、reassure vt.

意思是使安心、使放心，常表示安慰别人。

常用结构是reassure sb. about sth or

例：He reassured the passengers

of the ship.

他向乘客保证船很坚固，让他们放心。
