“值钱”、“增值贬值”、“分文不值”英语怎么说
值钱,用英语,有以下六种说法
1. valuable: worth a lot of money and expensive to buy or replace
例:Don't lose this ring - it's very valuable.(别把这枚戒指弄丢了,这很值钱的。)
Besides her studio apartment, she also owns a valuable estate in Italy.(在意大利,
她除了有一套小公寓外,还拥有一套很值钱的房产。)
2. of great value: something that is of great value is worth a lot of money,
especially a personal possession such as a work of art or a piece of jewellery(艺术
品、珠宝等)贵重物品
例:He has a few medals of great value.(他有几块价值连城的奖牌。)
The burglars stole the television and video, but nothing of great value.(贼偷了电视、
VCD,但没偷贵重物品。)
3. be worth a lot: if something is worth a lot, you can get a lot of money if you sell
it
例:You should look after those old dolls - one day they could be worth a lot.(好好
保存这几个旧娃娃,总有一天它们会很值钱。)
4. be worth a fortune: if something is worth a fortune, it is worth a very large
amount of money
例:He died in poverty in 1947, but now his paintings are worth a fortune.(他生前
穷困潦倒,死于1947年,但是现在,他的画作相当值钱。)

5. precious:
例:The robe was encrusted with precious metals and stones.(这件袍子上镶满了黄
金宝石。)
6. priceless: worth so much money that it is impossible to calculate the price - use
this about objects that are old and rare such as paintings, furniture, or jewellery无
价的
例:The house was full of priceless antiques.(房子里到处都是无价的古董。)
a priceless oil painting(一幅无价的油画)
增值或贬值,用英语,有以下三种说法
1. increase/rise/go up in value:增值;decrease/fall/go down in value:贬值
例:They bought a Ferrari knowing that it would increase in value.(他们知道法拉利
会增值,所以买了一辆。)
The pound has risen in value against the yen over the weekend.(上周末,英镑相对
日元增值。)
Gold and silver have gone down in value.(黄金白银贬值了。)
Most European currencies fell in value yesterday.(昨天,很多欧洲货币贬值了。)
2. appreciate: to become gradually more valuable over a period of time增值
depreciate: to become gradually less valuable over a period of time贬值
例:This property has appreciated rapidly during the last ten years.(过去十年,这份
资产增值非常快。)

A new car depreciates more quickly than a second-hand one.(跟二手车相比,新车
贬值更快。)
3. double/triple in value: to become two or three times more valuable
例:Fortunately, when I sold my apartment it had almost doubled in value since I
bought it.(卖公寓时,公寓的价值几乎比买时翻了一倍,太幸运了。)
分文不值:用英语,有以下两种说法
1. worthless:
例:When he died, all my uncle left me was a worthless plot of land.(叔叔去世时,
只给我留了一小块地,分文不值。)
The jewellery turned out to be completely worthless.(最后,这珠宝却分文不值。)
I'm afraid this banknote is a forgery; it's just a worthless piece of paper.(恐怕这是假
钞,就是张分文不值的纸而已。)
2. not be worth anything: to have no value
例:I don't think my stereo is worth anything now, but it was quite expensive when
I bought it.(我觉得这套音响现在不值分文了,但我买时花了大价钱。)
