频率副词从高到低的顺序

十二个频度副词的排序，从高到低是这样的：ever,

always, frequently, usually, often, sometimes, occasionally, seldom, rarely,

hardly, once, never.

1．ever, “始终，总是”的意思，频度百分之百。不过它常用于否定句，这时候相当于never，而且语气更加强烈。比如：Nothing ever did he but got

all. 他啥都没做，却得到了所有。（暗含不满，带有强烈的主观感情色彩）ever也可以做“曾经”用，这时频度的概念不强。

2．always，“总是，一直”等意思，频度接近百分之百。比如：The Earth

always goes around the Sun. 地球一直绕着太阳转。有时候使用always还可以带有主观感情色彩，表示不耐烦，比如：The machine always breaks down.

机器老是出故障。

3．frequently, “频繁地，动不动就”等意思，频度在百分之九十左右。比如：If the child cries frequently, he must be ill. 如果孩子频繁地哭泣，那么他肯定是生病了。frequently也可以带有主观感情色彩，同样有不耐烦的意味，比如：Quarrel is quarrel. Don't threaten to divorce frequently, will you?

吵归吵。不要动不动就说要离婚好吗？

4．usually，“通常”的意思，频度已经高到成为了一种惯例，频度在百分之八十左右。比如：At school the first class usually starts at eight. 学校第一节课通常八点开始。

5．often, “经常”的意思，频度在百分之六十左右。比如：I often go back

to the countryside to visit my parents on weekends. 我经常在周末回乡下

的老家看望我的父母。

6．sometimes，“有时”的意思，频度在百分之四十左右。比如：He

sometimes goes out for a walk. 他有时会出去散步。

7．occasionally, “偶尔”的意思，频度在百分之二十左右。比如：She

occasionally cries and laughs, which makes people overwhelmed. 她偶尔会又哭又笑，让人不知所措。前面这些频度副词都是肯定含义的，后面几个除了once之外，都是否定含义的。

8．seldom, “很少，不常”等意思，频度在百分之十左右。比如：Teachers

seldom speak at Teachers' meetings. 老师们很少在教师大会上发言。

9．rarely，“很少，罕见”等意思，频度在百分之五左右。比如：The students

in this class rarely discuss problems with each other in class. 这个班的学生很少在课堂上讨论问题。

10．hardly，“几乎不”的意思，频度在百分之一左右。比如：In class,

students hardly interact with their teachers. 课堂上，学生们几乎不和老师互动。

11．once，“曾经，一回”等意思，频度为只发生过一回。比如：He once

visited me. 他曾经来看望过我。意思是只来看望过我一次，所以要用过去时。

12．never，“不曾，从不”的意思，频度为零。比如：I never give up. 我从不放弃(或“我从不言败”)。
