first of all, the e-book is the lightest, easiest and most compact method of

carrying our own personal bookstore along with us, wherever we go. next, with e-

book readers, every title imaginable is available for download, gone are the days

when we had to go book-hunting. besides, easy payment options coupled with low

prices make it very simple and fast to get our favorite books. last but not the least,

the e-book makes more and more person have the chance to read varieties books.

in a word, no packing, no shipping or any other hassles of getting a real book

included.

every coin has two sides, the data of the e-book is easy to be destroyed, and in

addition, staring at the electronic product for a long time is harmful to our eyes.

in my opinion, i prefer paper book to e-book. for instance, the lively black

letters on the smooth white papers, the special scent of ink, the artistic cover,

sometimes the interesting illustration, all these are full of fun. think of that image,

i even hope i can see the handwriting of the author in a book, by reading his

handwriting, read his soul. for another, when we were litter young child, we

usually write something, such as a dairy everyday, so paper-book just likes an old

friend of us. finally, e-book is convenience, but paper book has a long history, with

more significance.

paper books and e-books, which one do you like? with the quick development

of technology, people are surrounded by all kinds of electronic devices. and more

people are tending to read books by computers or phones rather than go to

library to read or go to shop to buy books. different people have different answers

about this question. some people say that, they love the feeling, smelling and the

crinkling of the paper when they turn the page. they don’t mind the number of

the books, although they may haven’t enough space to store the paper book,

they say: you know, satisfying, the feeling, e-book never had. in previous years,

pirated books in china market is very rampant, there are great impact to paper

book market. however, due to increased management of the government, the

paper book market turned perfect and collection of paper books became a fashion.

but some people hold different view. firstly, e-book is more convenient than

paper-book. nowadays, almost all people have phones or computers, so they can

just download e-books immediately. wherever they go, they don’t have to take a

heavy paper book but just have a phone can reading. secondly, e-book is much

cheaper than paper book. if we need to buy paper books, we have to pay a lot of

money on them. however, on the contrary, we can search e-books on the internet

and just need to pay little or even get e-books we want for free.

technology is wonderful, embrace it, but use it to your liking. i like to read

everything. i usually alternate between a serious book and a fun light read.

our daily life. because of the wide popularity of e-books, the question weather e-

books will replace traditional books or not have caused great controversy. a large

proportion of people suppose that e-books will replace traditional books. the

reasons why they think so are as follows. firstly, contrasted with traditional books,

e-books cost much less. secondly, it’s extremely easy for them to get e-books via

internet without any restriction. what’s more, they can read an e-book whenever

or wherever they tend. lastly, the internet offer information search services, which

enable them to more easily choose any books they want.

as to me, i don’t think that e-books will replace traditional books. first of all,

e-books do great harm to our eye when we read an e-book for a long time. in

addition, they also have less reserve value than traditional books. last but not least,

traditional books include much ancient and advanced culture which offers a sense

of satisfaction that e-books cannot do. to sum up, e-books and traditional books

have their own advantages and disadvantages. accordingly, i firmly hold the

opinion that traditional books will not be displaced by e-book.
