17. Do you like cartoons? If so, read the introduction to the 5 Best Animation(动画)Studios.
TOP 5 Nickelodeon Animation Studios
In 1998, the company entered the cartoon film industry. Among the best animated series it
has offered, many stand out, including Sponge Bob Square Pants and Invader Zim.
TOP 4 DreamWorks Animation
Since 1994, Dream Works has never failed to leave a mark. Most cartoon-lovers may know
the logo (标志) of a young boy fishing from his seat on a moon. For over twenty years,
audiences have enjoyed its imagination. But its influence has always been just slightly
weaker than those of the next three.
TOP 3 Studio Ghibli
After the success of Miyazaki's 1984 film Nausicaa of the valley of the Wind, he set up
Studio Ghibli in 1985 with producer Toshio and director Isao. Now, eight of the fifteen most
money-making cartoon films in Japanese history are made by Studio Ghibli. Because of his
achievements, Miyazaki is considered the best animated director, perhaps of all the time.

Disney has given us so many childhood memories. The studio was set up in 1923 by Walt
Disney and his elder brother Roy when the two began producing silent short cartoons in Los
Angeles. The introduction of Mickey Mouse helped start the company's career, but the 1937
cartoon film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs caught more attention.

The Sixth Time I Went to the Principal's Office
When I was in the seventh grade, I had problems behaving. My heart was in the right place,
but I couldn't always follow the rules. I played many tricks on my schoolmates. Once, I even
pulled a girl's hair on the school bus to get her attention. As a result, I was repeatedly sent to
the office of the principal(校长). Although I hated going there, I did not hate the principal,
Mr. Ratcliff.
Mr. Ratcliff was a kind, elderly man. When he spanked(打屁股)me for putting some ants
into a classmate's pencil box, it didn't hurt at all, but it did hurt my feelings. I thought so
much of him and moments like that seemed to prove I was hopelessly bad.
When I got called to Mr. Ratcliff's office for the sixth time, I had no idea what I had done. I felt
disappointed as I walked down there. I went into his office, sat down, and looked at the floor.
Then he said the last thing I expected to hear: "Kevin, I've heard you've been behaving really
well lately. I want you to know how proud I am of you, and I just called you down to my office
to give you a peppermint."
"Really?" I was surprised.
"Yes. Now you can take that peppermint and go back to class."
I carried the peppermint with me as if it was a gold coin. When I got into my classroom, I
bragged(吹嘘)to my classmates about my turnaround, excitedly. I wasn't so bad after all.
Mr. Ratcliff was really kind. He made me realize that I was just a kid who had problems with
behavior. He bought some peppermints and took the time to notice me when I got
something-anything-right. Mr. Ratcliff gave me some hope by giving me some love. I will just
remember him for the rest of my life.

rules D often helped his classmates

19. Have you ever paid for educational podcasts (播客) or live videos? Ask some people
and most of them will say yes. "Pay﹣for﹣knowledge" has been more and more
fashionable these years. The contents of these"pay﹣for﹣ knowledge" products are from

online at this moment. "Pay﹣for﹣knowledge"is on the rise (兴起).
Why is "pay﹣for﹣knowledge" industry developing so rapidly? First, its development is

to learn new skills in today's job market also pushes people to learn on such educational

turning information into money. It is good for the development of our country and it can

thing, the market is full of eye﹣ catching words such as"How to be an Industry's Expert in 5
Hours" and "15 Classes to Be a Master of Appreciating (欣赏) Classical Music", which
sound like if you pay for it, you are sure to succeed. For another, a large number of
customers buy them just for showing off. In fact, those who have really had self﹣growth
after buying online courses may be the kind of people who need them least. In other
words, with or without these courses, they can make it anyway, because they are those who
have the ability to learn by themselves.
In general, the best is the one that suits you most."Pay﹣ for﹣knowledge" may be used
