The queen soon lost favour.
May I ask a favour of you?=May I ask you a favour?
2. do sb a favour 或 do a favour for sb, 意为“帮某人一个忙”“为某人做件事”,在这
Do me a favour and open the window.
正:Do me a favour by opening the window.
正:Do me a favour—open the window, please.
正:Do me the favour to open the window.
正:Do me the favour of opening the window.
favour。
I’ll do you a favour to do it.
正:I’ll do it for you.
4. 用于in favor of,有两个主要用法:
Are you in favor of worker’s control of companies?
He turned down a university appointment in favor of a political career.
留意它与in sb’s (sth’s) favor(对……
The system tends to operate in favor of the wealthier classes.
The plan has this in its favor, that it won’t cost much.
sb with sth。
I should be grateful if you would favour me an early reply.
正:I should be grateful if you would favour me with an early reply.
